Transport Supervisor Opportunity

A dynamic and career-oriented Transport Supervisor is sought to join a successful and market-leading business in Fakenham, Norfolk. This is a Monday to Friday position, working a static AM shift from 6:30am/7am to 3pm/3:30pm.

As Transport Supervisor, you will work directly under the Logistics Manager and provide essential support in ensuring legislative requirements are met, drivers' hours are compliant, and relevant data regarding transport checks, defect reporting, servicing, and MOTs is compiled. You will also ensure route optimisation savings are achieved and investigate, analyse, and action corrective actions to improve working practices.

You will liaise daily with the driving and transport team, debrief, and support to ensure the operation runs smoothly as a legally compliant and cost-effective logistics department. You may need to deputise for the Logistics Manager when required. A Manager CPC qualification is desirable, but not essential. The client is willing to support candidates studying towards this qualification.

From a management perspective, a collaborative and team-focused approach is required, with exceptional communication and organisational skills. You should be able to build rapport and trust with the production and customer services departments. A creative and diplomatic approach to problem-solving is encouraged.
