Position Overview:
As a Costing Operations Lead at KION Group, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our Quotation Management Application (QMA). This tool is essential for managing data related to components, design hours, and various cost factors that enable us to accurately estimate project-based solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of costing data and collaborate with relevant teams to refine the EMEA QMA costing model.
  • Maintain and update the EMEA maestro services catalogue alongside EMEA QMA calculations.
  • Communicate the needs of the EMEA region, prioritize issues, and advocate for necessary enhancements to our tools.
  • Streamline the costing process and contribute to the development of standardized costing methodologies using advanced automated tools.
  • Provide training and support to users, troubleshooting QMA issues as required.
  • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of maestro/QMA within the Quality Assurance (QA) environment.
  • Work closely with software developers to define, schedule, and implement enhancements to the QMA tool.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and feedback within the Costing Community.
  • Support project estimation efforts across the EMEA regions.
  • Engage with global roles, such as Global Solution Owner (GSO) and Global Product Specialist (GPS), to represent EMEA requirements.
  • Collaborate with other EMEA communities to promote harmonization across Solution Development (SD) in the region.
  • Update costing models by identifying trends, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and recommending improvements to enhance performance and order intake.
  • Partner with functional and global teams to support the delivery of costing-related priorities, fostering innovation and competitiveness.
  • Resolve complex operational challenges, build relationships, and uphold integrity in all interactions.
  • Propose solutions to enhance the performance and execution of the costing process within Solution Development (SD).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in a dynamic, global engineering or technology environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and metrics to assess needs, drive improvements, and measure outcomes.
  • Strong analytical capabilities using tools such as Excel, SQL databases, and Power BI.
  • Proven track record of establishing credibility and trust with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced business setting.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
  • Customer-centric approach with a history of delivering impactful results.
  • Unwavering integrity, assertiveness, and confidence in fulfilling responsibilities.
