We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Summergrove Vets, part of the Summerhill group. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical and surgical care to animals, working closely with our experienced RVN, Receptionists, Care Assistant, Supervisor, and Practice Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat health problems in animals
  • Perform laboratory tests and prescribe medication
  • Dress and treat wounds, perform surgery, and administer vaccinations
  • Test for diseases and provide preventive healthcare advice
  • Perform ultrasound and diagnostic imaging tests
  • Advise animal owners on general care and nutrition
  • Spay and neuter dogs and cats
  • Maintain accurate medical records

Our Clinic and Equipment

You will be working in our state-of-the-art clinic, equipped with the latest technology, including a biochemistry and haematology machine, Snap test reader, Microscope, Haematocrit, Ultrasound scanner, and Pulseoximeter. Our clinic is located in the heart of the Malpas community, with easy access to Bristol, Cardiff, and Newport.
