3rd Line Support Engineer (Server & Networking) - Liverpool Area

We are seeking a highly skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer to join our team at Nichols Digital Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server and networking technologies, including Windows Server, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN. You will be required to work on site 5 days a week, with occasional travel to Ellesmere Port. A valid driving license is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server builds and migrations
  • Setup and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, peripherals, and software applications
  • Routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and security patches
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software problems, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions promptly
  • Management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies
  • Response to IT support tickets and service requests

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of server and networking technologies
  • Experience with Windows Server, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN
  • Valid driving license
  • Ability to work on site 5 days a week
