About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Psychology. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures and tutorials to undergraduate students on a range of psychology modules, including research methods.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching materials and resources.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment materials.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in psychology or a related field, with a classification of 2:1 or higher.
  • Eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and deadlines.
  • Good IT skills, including competence in using visual learning environments and remote teaching platforms.
