About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Securitas Security Services. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in protecting our clients' assets and personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Securely guard company assets, visiting customers, and employees
  • Carry out patrols across the facility, including internal and external perimeters
  • Man a static guardhouse and sign in company visitors
  • Remain alert and vigilant to detect and deter suspicious or threatening activity
  • Retain control of any threatening behavior until the arrival of the Police or other external agency
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, recording and reporting all faults and hazards
  • Operate radios and other physical security equipment used on site
  • Carry out initial investigations and report on incidents, suspicious activities, objects, and vehicles

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Corporate Security environment
  • Current SIA Licence or willingness to complete necessary training
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication skills, able to articulate with authority
  • Ability to remain calm and professional at all times
  • Resilient approach to guarding duties
  • Vigilant and alert, able to use caution and apply an inquisitive mindset
  • Clear 5-year checkable employment history
  • Meet strict UK right to work criteria
  • Basic level of PC literacy, able to use email and operate a two-way radio
