About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Engineer to join our team at nVent, a leading provider of high-performance electrical solutions. As a Proposal Engineer, you will play a critical role in securing new business opportunities by developing compelling and well-structured proposals that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop technical solutions that meet client needs.
  • Proposal Writing: Prepare and present detailed proposals, including scope of work, cost estimations, technical specifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct thorough technical and commercial analysis of project specifications and constraints to ensure that proposals meet client requirements.
  • Proposal Coordination: Coordinate with sales teams to develop effective bid strategies and ensure alignment with client needs.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate risks, challenges, and potential mitigations associated with proposed projects.
  • Proposal Maintenance: Maintain a comprehensive database of proposal content to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience in estimating or a similar role within the energy sector.
  • Skills: Strong technical aptitude and understanding of complex engineering concepts, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, and advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
