Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Building Services team in our Billericay office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expertise in M&E by means of economical, safe, and sustainable systems.
The team focuses on projects in the Healthcare and Education sectors. The ideal candidate will be expected to work in accordance with the practice's values and objectives, ensuring effective communication and engagement with clients and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Engineering Associate/Director to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Ensure all projects are completed to a high technical standard, with a focus on quality and innovation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to more junior staff, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Contribute to the design of schemes, leveraging high-level technical expertise to drive project success.
- Undertake feasibility studies and develop solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
- Collaborate with clients to establish project briefs and budget costs, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong track record of delivering projects in the Building Services sector.
- Excellent technical skills, with a deep understanding of M&E systems and sustainable design principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to project delivery.
