Job Title: Doctor (Permanent)

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Doctor to join our team at Kingston Community Health Centres. As a permanent Doctor, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and make a meaningful impact in their lives.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary care to clients, working collaboratively with other members of the care team, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices. You will also be expected to supervise medical residents and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all relevant legislation and KCHC policies, including privacy laws.
  • Commit to demonstrating an ongoing commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigenization and Accessibility (EDIIA) by representing the diverse nature of our communities, promoting and practicing inclusion.
  • Support consistent application and development of KCHC policies and procedures.
  • Supervise medical residents.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement.
  • On occasion, perform other temporary duties as required.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of management of clients with addictions and mental health diagnosis.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with communities impacted by the social determinants of health.
  • Demonstrated ability to work respectfully with Indigenous communities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (French language is an asset).
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and relevant software applications (Microsoft Office), including Electronic Medical Record software (PS Suite preferred).
