Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Radiographer to join our team at the Dorset Breast Screening Unit. As a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will provide specialist opinions for Breast Imaging, including film reading, ultrasound, and biopsy.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for their own assessment and symptomatic breast clinics at both Poole and The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals. You will work closely with a wide range of disciplines and professionals at all levels within the organisation.

Requirements
  • BSc in Radiography or equivalent
  • HCPC Registration
  • PgCert in Mammography
  • MSc in Mammography or equivalent
  • Teaching qualification
  • Advanced practice breast module qualifications
Experience
  • 2 years experience as an advanced practitioner
  • Breast screening experience
  • Teaching experience
  • Experience of research, study design
  • Experience as an independent practitioner
Working with Us

We are a fully digital unit with eight mammography units, including three mobile units and four with tomosynthesis. We are actively involved in research projects, both locally and nationally, and have a partnership with a local University offering teaching on their Breast MSc pathway.
