Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hygiene Specialist to join our team at Greencore. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily cleaning of all areas of the factory as part of a team, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Schedule and conduct deep cleaning of large machinery, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and maintained.
- Wear full personal protective equipment (PPE) including chemical suits, visors, wellingtons, gloves, and safety goggles to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work in both chilled and hot environments, adapting to changing conditions as needed.
- Accurately document cleaning activities and maintain records of sanitation processes.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture within the workplace, identifying and reporting any hazards or incidents.
- Use and store chemicals safely, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Report any damaged equipment or machinery to the maintenance team in a timely manner.
Requirements
- No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive training and education will be provided.
- A basic understanding of English, both verbal and written, is essential for effective communication and documentation.
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP principles is highly desirable, but not necessary.
