Senior Manager of Application Support

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Application Support to join our team. As a key member of our technology organization, you will be responsible for managing one or more application support teams, providing technical oversight across systems and applications, and working closely with senior business heads to ensure the stability and high availability of our production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Manage one or more application support teams, including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical oversight across systems and applications, leveraging skills across multiple application support areas.
- Production Environment: Work closely with technology and business management to provide a holistic view of the production environment, ensuring the stability and high availability of our systems.
- Incident Resolution: Perform controlled resolution of incidents and problems, including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups when necessary, root cause analysis, and follow-through to resolution.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the formulation of strategies for application support and other functional areas, working closely with senior business heads to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Stability Initiatives: Champion stability initiatives to enable application high availability for Business-As-Usual, including better monitoring, failover, and resiliency.
- Global Enterprise: Handle incidents, problems, and change at a global enterprise level, demonstrating calm and analytical skills when faced with major incidents on critical systems.
- Customer Satisfaction: Manage customer satisfaction requirements of operational procedures to achieve a suitable outcome for all stakeholders.
- Communication: Exhibit sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information with operations and technology partners on a regional or global basis.
- Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup.
- Experience: Experience in an application support role is an added advantage, but not essential.
- Communication Skills: Highly assertive communications skills, commanding personality, and ability to engage a large audience and lead the discussion with clear, articulate, and highly assertive communication.
- Application Support: Experience with application support is an added advantage, but not essential.
- Information Sharing: Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams.
- Workload Planning: Ability to plan and organize workload.
- Communication Skills: Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
