Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Field Engineer to join our team at Heathcote Recruitment Ltd. As a CNC Machinist Field Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting health and safety checks on CNC machines at various client sites in the Sheffield area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health and safety checks on CNC machines to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Check machine guarding, door interlocks, emergency stops, and other safety features
  • Inspect and maintain CNC machines, including checking axis drive belts, couplings, and motor fans
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as adjusting gibs, checking axis ballscrews, and discovering taper issues on the spindle
  • Check rotation of spindle and belt tension, turret brake discs and pads, main drive belts, hydraulic oil condition and level, pneumatic leaks, batteries, and rotary switches
  • Shadow experienced technicians to learn about the company's machines and procedures

Requirements:

  • Engineering experience is essential, with a background in CNC machining and machine maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid full driving license
