Vetting Requirements

For positions involving regulated work with children and/or protected adults, a satisfactory PVG will be required.

GTCS Registration

Applicants must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) and maintain their registration, including the payment of any associated fees. Please note that probationary teachers are welcome to apply for temporary, un-promoted positions but will be compensated at the probationer rate of £31,000 per year (pro-rata, if applicable).

Approval for Catholic Schools

Guidance is available for teachers seeking approval to work in Catholic educational institutions, if applicable. Successful candidates may need to obtain approval from the Roman Catholic Church, in accordance with Section 21(A) of the Education (Scotland) Act.

Head Teacher Reports

Candidates who are successful in the interview process must download and complete the appropriate Head Teacher Report. This form requires the applicant's details and must be signed by the current Head Teacher before submission to Human Resources.
