Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate designated machines safely and efficiently, ensuring adherence to HSE and housekeeping standards.
  • Complete schedules, sequences, and assignments for assembly line activities.
  • Carry out work instructions as given by Cell Leader, work specifications, equipment operation, and monitor materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or faults.
  • Maintain assembly line performance standards by monitoring gauges, dials, and other indicators.
  • Check work via use of gauges, visuals, and measuring tools.
  • Maintain an organized and visual workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Generate and implement improvement ideas, encourage idea generation among team members, and stop work for safety, stop production for quality, and escalate concerns.
  • Be familiar with and use proactive root cause problem-solving techniques, such as Fishbone diagrams.
  • Evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Requirements:
  • Time-served apprenticeship or HNC in a relevant subject (essential).
  • Higher education in a relevant subject (desirable).
  • Working knowledge within an assembly and manufacturing environment, including the preparation of components (essential).
  • Background in a mechanical-based profession (desirable).
  • Computer literacy, including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook (essential).
  • Ability to operate basic hand and power tools (essential).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (essential).
  • Forklift and overhead crane certificates (desirable).
