Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our team at Sprint Recruitment Limited. As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained above the minimum standards required by the DVSA between scheduled service/inspection dates to support existing third-party servicing arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vehicle chassis and associated vehicle auxiliary engine are maintained in line with the service planner and company policies
  • Have the opportunity to work on a range of vehicles from light commercial to HGV vehicles
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance at all times

Requirements:

  • Experienced mechanic level 3 ideally NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicles (Time served may be considered)
  • Familiar with diagnostic systems
  • Knowledge of HGV repairs and main dealer standards

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • High standard of work
  • Work well within a team as well as the ability to use own initiative
  • Be flexible around working hours and days
  • Complete tasks to specified timescales
  • Be organised with day-to-day paperwork (eg job sheets and parts ordering)
