About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team at SeeAbility. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support with personal care, laundry, meal preparation, medication administration, and other essential tasks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the individuals you support, understanding their needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Take ownership of the quality of care and assistance delivered, ensuring it meets the highest standards.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of the individuals you support, adhering to SeeAbility's policies and procedures.
  • Support individuals in planning and achieving their short-term and long-term goals, promoting independence and empowerment.
  • Assist with daily activities, such as outings, social engagements, and leisure activities, ensuring a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies, parents, carers, and services to ensure person-centered care and support.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and support plans, contributing to the maintenance of high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Hold a UK Driving License and have a manual vehicle.
  • Live in the local area and have the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Be calm, patient, and resilient, with a strong ability to work in a crisis situation.
  • Have experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a care or support role.
  • Be able to work on a shift rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
