We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Finance Director to join our team at World Vision International. As a key member of our Global Centre, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial performance and stability of our Network of 25 Microfinance Institutions.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Performance Management
- Oversee the financial performance of the Network, including monthly reviews of MFI financial performance and rolling reforecasts.
- Convene monthly performance review calls with Regional Directors and ensure key performance issues are highlighted.
- Ensure actions from monthly meetings are followed up promptly by RFDs and MFI CFOs.
- Review monthly reports from the Finance Compliance Manager on finance manual implementation, compliance with finance and risk policies, and system implementation projects.
- Discuss and review MFI compliance status with the Finance Compliance Manager and RFDs.
- Review issues arising in MFIs with high financial risk and assess plans to address these issues with RFDs, Regional Directors, and VFI CFO and COO.
- Ensure internal staff or external contractors are engaged as required to address these issues.
- Model Christian leadership and VFI Core Values in all interactions.
- Participate in the leadership of the VFI GC Finance team and contribute to the success of annual Finance team goals.
- Education and Experience
- Masters or advanced degree in finance or related subject.
- Deep financial performance management and analysis experience with knowledge and skills developed over a minimum 10 years.
- Thorough knowledge and extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in the microfinance and/or banking sectors.
- Investment analysis and appraisal skills with experience of recommending investment decisions to senior leaders.
- Minimum 5 years' experience of managing people at a senior level.
- Cross cultural sensitivity to engage with MFI staff and stakeholders across VFI global departments.
- Flexibility with working hours to contact people within wide time zones.
English is required and fluency in Spanish and/or French is an added advantage. Travel up to 25% of the time is expected.
