Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Breast Care Nurse to join University Hospitals Dorset as a key member of our team. The post holder will be responsible for delivering high standards of care and nursing to breast cancer patients at our hospital.

The successful candidate will be accountable for their own professional practice, working autonomously and as part of a team to provide support, education, and guidance to patients and carers throughout their cancer journey.

The role requires an active UK NMC Registration and previous experience in oncology or breast cancer nursing. The successful candidate will also support the Band 7 CNSs and liaise with other members of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).

Main Duties

  • To provide high standards of care and nursing to breast cancer patients
  • To work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver patient-centered care
  • To provide support, education, and guidance to patients and carers
  • To support the Band 7 CNSs and liaise with the MDT

Person Specification

  • RGN, Qualified for a minimum of 2 years
  • Post-registration development to diploma/degree level or equivalent
