About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Fitter and Mechanic to join our team at Kinaxia Logistics. As an HGV Fitter and Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, including defect repairs, fault diagnosis, and maintenance requirements.
  • Workshop Operations: Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all workplace health and safety standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory body regulations and standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct periodic safety inspections on all vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet DVSA inspection standards.
  • Documentation and Administration: Complete all paperwork clearly, accurately, and in a timely fashion, including job cards, inspection forms, and other necessary documentation.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience: A mechanical qualification is essential, and experience in the transportation industry is desirable.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Continued up-to-date knowledge of vehicle maintenance rules and regulations, latest techniques, technology, and vehicle models, and the ability to implement technological knowledge into practice.
