GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to support the educational journey of children aged 7 to 11 years in our partner Primary Schools in Sheffield. The role of a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teaching Assistant is vital in fostering the academic and personal growth of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide support to small groups or individual learners to reinforce concepts and assist with assignments.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to maintain a positive and structured learning environment, managing student behavior effectively.

Duties of a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the classroom teacher in implementing effective lesson plans.
  • Facilitate learning activities for students, ensuring inclusivity and engagement.
  • Help create a nurturing and supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Offer personalized assistance to students in need of additional support.
  • Motivate students to engage actively in their learning and achieve their best.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational context is preferred.
  • A solid educational background, typically including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for education and a commitment to helping children thrive.
