Graduate Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking a talented Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our Flooring Specialist team, based near Orpington. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to build a career in surveying and estimating.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing detailed and professional quotations for clients
  • Sourcing quotes and technical details from suppliers for materials
  • Interpreting specifications and measuring drawings
  • Pricing variations and site instructions
  • Producing and issuing payment notices/invoices
  • Developing budgets
  • Job costing
  • Negotiating with vendors
  • Managing projects from start to finish, ensuring all required steps are followed
  • General administrative duties
Requirements:
  • Full driving license
  • A construction related degree, preferably in quantity surveying
  • Good communication skills
  • Confident and outgoing
  • Computer literate
  • Good time keeping
  • Ability to work as a team or under their own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
