About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Officer to join our team in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and London Borough of Wandsworth. As a Commissioning Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and monitoring preventative services to improve the health and wellbeing of older people, other adults at risk of poor/deteriorating wellbeing, and unpaid carers in our boroughs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission evidence-based prevention and wellbeing services that meet the needs of our communities
  • Work in partnership with service users, voluntary sector organisations, health services, and colleagues in public health and operations to develop and deliver effective prevention programs
  • Build relationships with providers, service users, unpaid carers, and internal colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of prevention services and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent by recent and relevant work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions and work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
