Opportunity for a District Nurse/District Nurse Trainee

We are seeking a skilled District Nurse/District Nurse Trainee to join our Community Nursing Team on the Isle of Mull. This picturesque island, part of the Inner Hebrides, offers a unique blend of natural beauty, rich culture, and diverse wildlife. As a popular tourist destination, the island provides easy access to the mainland.

The successful candidate will be based within our Community Nursing Service, covering the islands of Mull, Iona, and Ulva. Essential requirements include community experience and a Specialist Practice District Nurse qualification, or the willingness to undertake the degree course leading to qualification as a District Nurse. Trainees will commence at band 5 until qualified and must complete within 3 years.

We are looking for a skilled professional with a passion for holistic care, who can play a vital role in providing day-to-day services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with different professional groups. It is desirable that the successful applicant demonstrates an interest in quality improvement work and change management, as well as a good awareness of national policies.
