We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team at Aspion. As a key member of our logistics function, you will play a crucial role in supporting our transport operations and providing customers with a seamless end-to-end solution for their transport needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage traction shift operations to ensure efficient and safe transportation of goods.
  • Generate and update work orders within the transportation system to optimize routes and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain strong working relationships and ensure effective communication.
  • Utilize geographical knowledge and problem-solving skills to optimize routes and resolve transportation issues.
  • Develop and implement transportation strategies to enhance the overall logistics function and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in transport planning, particularly with HGVs.
  • Previous experience with load sub-contraction or a background in a transport clearance house is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external colleagues.
