Our multidisciplinary design team sits as part of Mace's consultancy technical services and includes architects, engineers, urban designers, master planners, and interior designers.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architectural Manager to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering feasibility studies at RIBA stages 1-2 and technical reviews of schemes through later RIBA stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and oversee the preparation of drawings, schedules, graphics, technical reports, and client and design team meetings.
  • Collaborate with the wider design disciplines, client personnel, and construction teams.
  • Report on progress to relevant parties and attend/participate in client meetings and design workshops as necessary.
  • Manage direct reports' work outputs to ensure they are timely, in scope, and of a quality expected.
  • Support in bidding with the wider team where required.
  • Engage with business improvement directives where applicable.
  • Implement training plans for the teams.
  • Lead business improvement working groups to deliver outcomes.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement plans/identify key business improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a series of both internal and external relationships.
  • Manage and influence key/senior stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

Requirements

  • A positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Be a both a team leader and a team player.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations.
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD/Revit along with the Adobe Creative Suite.
