Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Construction Interiors & Refurbishment

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team and assist in the implementation of all commercial aspects of construction projects. As a key member of our commercial team, you will work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and site delivery teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of commercial strategies to ensure project profitability.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to identify risks and opportunities, and negotiate contracts.
  • Assist in the analysis of tender returns and participate in the negotiation process.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the construction process, including new build and fit-out/refurbishment projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the commercial team, including data analysis and reporting.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a surveying role with a leading main/principal contractor.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Word and Excel packages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
