We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Specialist (Aviation Parts) to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to cultivate robust partnerships with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing through effective negotiation and procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.
- Gather quotations for components from various suppliers to assess competitive pricing.
- Solicit proposals, evaluate bids, and advise management on the most suitable vendor based on price, reputation, and business potential.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure their purchasing needs are accurately reflected in the procurement database.
- Conduct procurement activities within specified deadlines.
- Work with various teams to compile purchasing expenditures to identify potential cost savings.
- Verify that all components meet quality standards prior to purchase.
- Manage warranty return approvals and coordinate with internal teams regarding rejected items.
- Organize supplier meetings, including occasional visits to underperforming suppliers.
- Monitor and implement improvement strategies with suppliers that do not meet performance expectations.
- Comply with Export Control regulations as applicable.
- Oversee and expedite material shipments from suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery.
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders, aiming to enhance communication and operational methods.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the aviation sector.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a capacity to quickly adapt to internal systems.
