Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic trainees to pursue a career in Acute Medicine based on our Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. The Trust Registrar will be assisted by other middle-grade doctors and will have a 1 in 14 on-call commitment. On-call out-of-hours cover includes all Back of House Medical Inpatient areas, with in-hours cover based on the Front of House AMU/SDEC at the direction of the Consultant.

Main Duties

The Trust Doctor (Reg) will be responsible for the day-to-day care of all patients under the Consultants in Acute Medicine. The programme of training for each individual doctor will be flexible depending on their particular needs and stage of training. The post will be based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, but the post holder may be required to work at other sites within the Trust.
