POSITION: DEPUTY SHOP MANAGER - TROWBRIDGE | COMPENSATION: £11.44 PER HOUR
We are in search of a candidate who can motivate and guide the store team through effective communication, management, and strategic planning.
- Champion customer satisfaction by utilizing innovation and continuous improvement to enhance the retail experience in the Dorothy House store.
- Consistently uphold exceptional standards for both the shop floor and back-of-house operations, establishing the store as a preferred destination for customers, donors, and volunteers.
- Ensure efficient stock management and rotation of all merchandise.
- Maintain organization and efficiency in all backstage areas while adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in training, motivating, and managing volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to prepare goods for display, provide excellent customer service, and uphold cleanliness standards.
- Actively recruit and promote volunteer opportunities within the shop, maintaining a volunteer schedule to ensure operational hours are met.
- Identify and suggest areas for improvement.
- Execute accurate financial procedures, banking, and administrative tasks as required by Dorothy House.
- Engage in education, training, development, and performance reviews, attending meetings as necessary.
WORKING HOURS
This is a part-time role, requiring 15 hours of work per week across 2 days out of 7, with regular weekend availability essential.
ABOUT YOU
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient in Mathematics and English.
- A strong team player with the ability to inspire others.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Customer-oriented with a positive and energetic demeanor.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in retail or charity shop environments.
- Prior experience in a management capacity.
- Possession of a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
