Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a small, friendly village school outside of Hook. The role is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent in the future.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups to help them with their academic work, including maths and English intervention groups.
  • Work with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help raise their attainment levels.
  • Support children with their reading in guided reading sessions to help improve their reading levels.
  • Encourage positive behaviour in and outside the classroom by being a role model to the pupils and building strong relationships.
  • Create resources to aid pupils in their academic work and display boards to showcase high-quality work.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay of £12.90 per hour, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
