Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a School Crossing Patrol Officer. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of children and pedestrians crossing the road.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain control over children who are awaiting your instructions to cross the road.
  • Report any problems or difficulties to the facilities coordinator.
  • Co-operate with the introduction of new procedures and/or new equipment/technology.
  • Be conversant with and operate at all times with the current Health and Safety at Work Legislation.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Road sense knowledge.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather.

Additional Information:

This is a temporary post, subject to business needs and funding, for a period of 3 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
