Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salaried GP to join our team at Dalton Terrace Surgery. As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical services to our patients, adhering to the GMS contract and GMC standards for good medical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver highly effective medical care to our entitled population
  • Provide services commensurate with the GMS contract
  • Manage long-term conditions effectively
  • Process administration in a timely manner, including referrals and repeat prescription requests
  • Undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis
  • Maintain accurate clinical records
  • Work collaboratively with the team and adhere to best practice
  • Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives
  • Accept delegated responsibility for specific areas or the QOF
Person Specification
  • Qualified GP with MRCGP and Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
  • Full GMC registration and National Performers List registration
  • Appropriate defence indemnity and eligibility to practice in the UK independently
  • Experience of working in a primary care environment, continued professional development, and QOF and clinical audit
  • Minimum of two years as a salaried GP and experience of medicines management and ICB initiatives
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Requirements
  • Flexibility to work outside of core office hours
  • Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and Occupational Health clearance
  • Project lead as required with CQC, ICB, and QOF
