About the Role:
The Consultant Haematologist will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the diagnosis and management of patients with blood disorders. The team consists of experienced healthcare professionals who work together to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake laboratory work, including advice on diagnostic samples, validation and interpretation of results, and involvement in agreeing policies and procedures for the examination of samples.
- Participate in the diagnosis and management of individual patients by liaising with patients, clinicians, and other hospital and community staff.
- Manage a caseload of patients with blood disorders, including those requiring anticoagulant therapy.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
