Ward Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ward Manager to join our team at South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the inpatient nursing team to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the inpatient nursing team to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical governance initiatives and policy review.
- Ensure effective management of the e-roster to provide consistency in nursing care and reduce agency use.
- Manage the ward's expenditure budget and ensure the most appropriate and cost-effective use of resources.
- Provide information to the Operational Manager to assist with performance reporting to the National Commissioning Team.
- RMN (current NMC registration)
- ENB 998 or equivalent
- Evidence of post-qualification training/education
- Ongoing evidence of continuing professional development
- Development at Diploma or Degree level
- Training in providing supervision
- Demonstrable experience of working at Band 6
- Experience of working with adults with Mental Health problems
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of working as a Clinical Supervisor
- Experience of implementing and monitoring standards of care
- Experience of recruitment and selection of staff
- Experience of managing and monitoring budgets
- Experience of managing non-clinical staff and other professionals
- Experience of implementing significant changes in working practices
