Test Technician Position

Location: Hingham, Norfolk (NR9) – Office based role

Role Overview

As a Test Facility Technician at AD WARRIOR, your main responsibility will be to assist engineers and senior technicians in executing dynamic, static, and life cycle tests for both the company and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Static, Dynamic, and Life Cycle test setups in accordance with established test protocols.
  • Assist in dynamic development and certification testing per customer specifications and international standards.
  • Configure high-speed cameras for test documentation according to client requirements.
  • Establish computer-controlled data acquisition systems.
  • Fabricate and maintain test fixtures and equipment as required.
  • Perform development and certification static tests in line with customer and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the upkeep of the static test/life cycle area and associated equipment.
  • Review and update existing risk assessments for the dynamic test facility.
  • Support dynamic sled maintenance in collaboration with engineers.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
  • Foster a safe working environment and adhere to published health and safety protocols.

Candidate Profile

To support our ongoing growth, you will bring your technical expertise, a passion for innovation, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to operational excellence, along with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Completion of a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
  • Prior experience as a Mechanical or Electrical technician/engineer.
  • Proficient mechanical fitting skills.
  • Electrical/electronic competencies.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND in Engineering.
  • Experience in a testing environment.
  • Background in photography.
  • Experience in data collection.
  • Familiarity with photography, high-speed data, and video capture.
