Key Responsibilities

  • Reduce production downtime by performing routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and addressing unplanned breakdowns promptly.
  • Ensure production processes operate efficiently and safely through regular maintenance.
Work with a variety of equipment including fabrication, cutting, pressing, shot blasting, and spraying machinery.

  • Respond effectively to unexpected breakdowns, collaborating with engineering and production teams to minimize disruption.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment failures.
  • Conduct all tasks in accordance with Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, Standard Operating Procedures, and company policies.
Candidate Requirements

  • Mechanical Bias preferred
Previous experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer in sectors such as Plant, Manufacturing, FMCG, or Moulding is advantageous.
Relevant qualifications or extensive experience (over 10 years for time-served engineers / City & Guilds / NVQs) are required.
A solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is beneficial.
Willingness to engage in training and development opportunities.
