Production Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead our production team at Whitman Laboratories, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility producing prestige brand products in creams, lotions, and fine fragrance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes meet and exceed all of our objectives in terms of Cost, Quality, Customer Service, Environment, Health & Safety, Utilisation, and Organisational Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements in terms of Health, Safety, and Environment.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure awareness of and compliance with GMP and OTC regulations.
- Team Development: Coach, motivate, and empower the Production Management Team to deliver business objectives through continuous improvement.
- Performance Management: Ensure that all daily output requirements are met to agreed cost and efficiency standards, while maintaining high quality and safe practices.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that production optimises customer satisfaction through adherence to global quality standards.
- Financial Management: Manage overhead budgets in Production.
- Performance Metrics: Ensure production performance against global Operational Key Performance Indicators.
- Policy and Procedure: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, promoting best practice whenever possible.
- Employee Relations: Develop and promote strong harmonious employee relations.
- Succession Planning: Develop and grow employees in the Production organisation.
- Strategy and Communication: Develop and communicate the local Production strategy, ensuring alignment to the Site and Supply Chain strategies.
Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience and ambassador of the Estée Lauder vision and values.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, with good knowledge of Best Practices in Lean Manufacturing.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical, entrepreneurial, and organisational skills, with ability to thrive in a busy and challenging production environment.
- Change Management: Ability to develop, implement, and manage change, with experience working through transformational change in a manufacturing environment.
- Planning and Coordination: Planning and coordination skills consistent with managing staff.
