Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Fresh Direct in Bicester, Oxfordshire. As a key member of our Supply Chain and Operations department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our depot and office areas, ensuring compliance with BRC, food safety, and Health and Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the upkeep of outdoor grounds and landscaping, including watering and tending to plants, trimming shrubs and bushes, and weeding.
  • Assist with cleaning and litter picking, maintaining housekeeping of allocated areas, and performing basic maintenance tasks such as painting.
  • Collect and segregate waste, and assist with accepting and distributing deliveries within the site premises.
  • Perform counterbalance license training and other maintenance tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or operations role is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks and work in outdoor environments.
