About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Manager to join our team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust. As a key member of our Sustainability Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our sustainability strategy, ensuring we meet our ambitious targets and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sustainability plans, focusing on reducing carbon emissions, improving energy efficiency, and promoting sustainable practices across our operations and supply chain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Property Services, Maintenance, and Procurement, to ensure sustainability initiatives are integrated into departmental business plans.
  • Lead the development of our annual Sustainability Report, aligning with the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS) and Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting for Financial Reporting.
  • Collect and process sustainability data from various sources, ensuring accurate reporting and meeting external assurance requirements.
  • Develop and track Scope 3 reporting to support our net-zero targets, working closely with analysts and consultants as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant sustainability regulations, providing briefing notes and impact assessments, and driving change across the organization to adapt to regulatory changes and best practices.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering Sustainability and ESG Reporting in line with corporate or sector-specific standards.
  • Experience in carbon accounting and reporting, including Scope 3, with attention to detail and ability to analyze large quantities of data.
  • Proven track record of designing and developing strategic sustainability plans, exhibiting strong strategic thinking and use of data and modeling to set Key Performance Indicators.
  • Strong project management acumen, with experience mobilizing and delivering sustainability and decarbonization programs, monitoring and reporting progress.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with a passion for sustainability and ability to bring individuals from various disciplines together to drive forward projects to desired outcomes.
