About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Audiologist to join our team at OutsideClinic. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing audiological testing services to patients in the comfort of their homes, in-store, and supporting the NHS.

You will be responsible for managing a daily schedule of adults with hearing loss, conducting Pure Tone Audiometry, testing for non-organic hearing loss, and providing a full, structured, patient-centric aftercare program. You will also be responsible for selecting and programming/fitting hearing instruments, providing ear care and wax removal, and maintaining test equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a daily schedule of adults with hearing loss, prioritizing patient care and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct Pure Tone Audiometry, including masking as required, to assess hearing thresholds and identify potential hearing loss.
  • Test for non-organic hearing loss, using evidence-based practice to support diagnosis and treatment.
  • Provide a full, structured, patient-centric aftercare program, ensuring maximum satisfaction and optimal hearing outcomes.
  • Select and program/fit hearing instruments, taking into account individual patient needs and preferences.
  • Provide ear care and wax removal, using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Maintain test equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and calibrated as required.
Professional Responsibilities
  • Meet the appropriate level of expertise to register with the HCPC as a Hearing Aid Dispenser, maintaining ongoing professional development and training.
  • Demonstrate the ability to reflect on own practice, identifying strengths and development needs, and contributing to clinical team discussions.
  • Be responsible for own professional actions, recognizing own professional boundaries and seeking advice from others when necessary.
  • Contribute to clinical team meetings, sharing knowledge and expertise to support patient care and team development.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development, attending supervision and training to maintain skills and knowledge, and expand scope of practice.
Requirements
  • Effective and flexible communication skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Use of digital systems and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Confident driver with at least two years' driving experience, with the ability to find multiple locations.
  • Works calmly under pressure, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Organized and able to multitask, with a strong focus on patient care and satisfaction.
