We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Barnardo's. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing holistic support to young people who have experienced mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote the mental wellbeing of young people and their families.
- Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and support.
- Provide one-to-one support, group work, and community-based interventions to address the needs of young people and their families.
- Work closely with our team to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective case management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of practice.
- Relevant experience working with young people and their families in a mental health or social care setting.
- Strong understanding of mental health principles and practices, including trauma-informed care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
