Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Quarry Operative (Floating) to join our team at FCC Environment. As a Quarry Operative, you will be responsible for operating mobile and fixed plant at various locations within our operating area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile and fixed plant in accordance with the manufacturers' operating instructions and site safe systems of work.
  • Report any defects on mobile and fixed plant.
  • Complete daily inspection books.
  • Work in accordance with our Environmental Management System and promote environmentally considerate work practices.
  • Maintain the inspection systems and checklists in accordance with our IMS system.
  • Examine the materials produced to ensure a high quality of product is maintained.
  • Carry out basic preventive maintenance tasks on mobile and fixed plant.

Requirements

  • Experience in quarrying.
  • Knowledge/experience/qualifications in mobile plant operations specifically wheeled loading shovel, articulated dumper, and tracked excavator.
  • A flexible approach to working patterns and daily tasks.
