Job Opportunity: 7.5t Home Delivery Driver

Flexible People Ltd is currently recruiting 7.5t Home Delivery Drivers for a well-established client based in Bedford.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a reputable organization with potential for growth and career advancement.

The role involves working with a Drivers Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties, including TVs, flat-pack furniture, gym equipment, and white goods.

Due to the weight of the products being delivered, the successful candidate must be physically fit and able to lift heavy goods.

The company offers a 'room of choice' delivery service, and drivers will be fully trained on how to provide this service.

Upon successful application, all new drivers are subject to a driving assessment and multiple-choice highway code/tacho exam, followed by an induction day.

The company operates 7 days a week, with a 5 or 6-day rota available. Weekend work will be involved.

Shift timings are 06:00 start, with shifts lasting approximately 8-10 hours.

Pay rate: £14.59 per hour.

After 12 weeks, drivers can be offered a contract directly with the company, providing access to an award-winning range of benefits, including:

The company will accept newly qualified drivers.

Requirements:

  • Valid UK License
  • CPC and Digitacho
  • No more than 6 points on driving license
  • No DD, DR, or NI convictions

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Reliable and organized
  • Have good communication skills and a good level of customer service
  • Be fit and healthy and able to lift heavy goods
  • Have own steel toe cap safety boots and high vis vest
