Main Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support business growth.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and other financial reports to stakeholders.
- Financial Systems: Manage and maintain NetSuite, including training, troubleshooting, and development of financial reporting and processes.
- Cash Flow and Banking: Oversee cash flow, overdraft, and bank accounts, ensuring efficient management and compliance.
- Team Management: Lead and support the finance assistant, providing guidance and development opportunities.
- Annual Accounts: Prepare and submit annual year-end accounts, working closely with the company's accountants.
- Office Management: Assist with office management tasks, including utilities, maintenance, insurances, and asset register.
- Payroll and Financial Analysis: Review monthly payroll reports and analyze financial performance to inform business decisions.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Financial Expertise: Qualified accountant or equivalent experience, with excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to lead and collaborate with the wider team, driving growth and financial planning.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with NetSuite an advantage.
- Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to improve financial performance and drive business growth.
Reporting Line: This role reports to the Managing Director, with one direct report, the Finance Assistant.
