A dynamic and challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Charge Nurse to join our team at a leading low secure hospital in Ayr, Scotland. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and leadership to our patients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage patient admissions and discharges, ensuring seamless transitions and high-quality care.
- Develop and implement effective nursing staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage and resource allocation.
- Supervise and mentor junior nurses and care staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Monitor patient progress, administer medication, and report patient conditions to medical staff, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of medical supplies and medicines, ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Provide training and development opportunities for new staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Proven leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and guide others.
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality patient care and service excellence.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Numeracy and analytical skills, with experience in completing audits and quality assessments.
- Experience working in inpatient mental health settings, with a strong understanding of patient needs and care pathways.
- Self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, leadership experience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
