Procurement Manager Opportunity

Crescent Purchasing Consortium is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our Contracting Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of purchasing agreements and delivering the whole procurement cycle across the People category.

About the Role
  • Manage a small team of direct reports, providing day-to-day management, training, mentoring, and support.
  • Deliver all aspects of the procurement cycle, including contract management and supplier engagement.
  • Work closely with the Contract Manager, Senior Procurement Officer, and Procurement Officer(s) to ensure seamless delivery of procurement services.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of our customers.

Crescent Purchasing Consortium is a purchasing consortium owned and overseen by the Further Education sector. We provide purchasing frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems, and procurement consultancy services to schools, academies, colleges, universities, and other educational organisations.

Requirements

We seek a candidate with extensive procurement experience within the public sector. Ideally, you will have a detailed working knowledge of public sector procurement legislation, experience of working in the education sector, and experience in managing a small team of direct reports.
