Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to join our team at Mayflower Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering complex event plans and managing direct reports across various venues in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the operations team to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Lead service lines including Event Traffic Management, Security, Event Stewarding, and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation
  • Ensure all events have comprehensive operations packs, including risk assessments, traffic management plans, and commercial plans
  • Work in partnership with other function heads to anticipate future operational needs and manage resources efficiently
  • Manage company equipment, stock, vehicles, and uniforms across the UK
  • Implement strategies to ensure company growth and services development
  • Manage the welfare, safety, and morale of a large front-line workforce
  • Ensure all relevant processes and procedures are followed and are compliant with British Standards and legal requirements
  • Provide detailed and accurate reports to management highlighting areas of concern and escalating future challenges or risks

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in an operational/events environment
  • 5+ years' experience in line management with a proven track record of effective coaching and mentoring
  • L4 Spectator Safety desirable
  • SIA DS license desirable
  • Lantra 12D M6 a must
