Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Shift Leader to join our client's team in Enfield. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the production line, ensuring high-quality products, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of production operators to achieve production targets and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop and implement production plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to production operators to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage labor planning, holidays, and sickness, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet production demands.
  • Support the Production Manager in managing agency requirements and ensuring site readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Drive performance through short interval control and attend production reviews to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in production leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality standards, with experience in implementing and maintaining compliance.
