Job Overview:Penguin Recruitment is seeking a talented Graduate Structural Engineer to join our client's team in Ashford. As a successful UK-based Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy, they specialize in Civil and Structural Engineering. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, analysis, and inspection of steel structures, including Telecoms, rail, utilities, highways, and radar.
The Role:As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will:
- Assist in the design and analysis of steel structures using industry-leading software.
- Work on exciting projects that include commercial buildings, industrial structures, and infrastructure developments.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and senior engineers to ensure design accuracy and project success.
- Perform structural calculations, technical drawings, and report writing to deliver quality engineering solutions.
- Support in the preparation of technical documents, material take-offs, and project specifications.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution.
- Relevant coursework or projects focused on steel structures is an advantage.
- Familiarity with structural engineering software (STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structures, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Internship or project experience in structural engineering, particularly with steel structures, is preferred.
Our client offers a competitive salary, 25 days leave per annum (excluding bank holidays), and a pension scheme in line with government rules. You will also have access to training and development programs, including software and engineering certifications.
